And Sniffy Faces Art
My Drawing Journey

I am a self-taught artist who loves to draw beautiful original artwork of animals. I think my love of animals truly began when I got my first rabbit as a child. She was a yellow Dutch, very clever, who quickly became my best friend. I still have rabbits now who potter about ‘helping’ while I work. It was their adorable sniffy faces that inspired the name of my art business.
Originally from Scotland, I now live in County Durham. I have a background in biology which I have found incredibly useful in understanding form when drawing animals. I have worked in the corporate environment and currently work part-time in academia. I started drawing as a way to help manage anxiety and quickly developed a passion for it. I am very lucky to have an extremely supportive family and amazing friends who gave me the confidence to follow that passion professionally. I have been a competitive swimmer for many years. My highest ever ranking is 7th in the World.
Going forward I would like to use my research skills combined with my artwork to tell the stories of animals. Animals can change people’s lives, be incredibly brave, inspire imagination and have amazing abilities. They are so essential to our wellbeing and the ecosystem of the planet. With so many animals being endangered, and worse, lost to extinction I want to help make their voices heard.
